Walking on thin ice

Jason and I had fun carefully walking out onto the frozen tanks. Thankfully we didn't break through the ice and get wet!

Ice on the tanks

Our friend told us to put our old christmas tree in our tank for a fish habitat. The tank is frozen, so we thought we'd push the tree onto the ice and it would go farther into the middle than if we just threw it into the water. Now we'll have to wait and see how long it takes the tree to sink.
The grass is frozen in the tank. I know it might be hard to see, but there are frozen beads clinging to the grass blades.
The tank has random areas with bubbles, evidence on some kind of create below the surface of the tank. The bubbles froze with the cold weather, so I'm not sure how the under water creature is fairing.

Bonfire

Jason and his dad finished taking down the old barn and chicken coop this week, and we had a lot of wood to burn. It was a beautiful day Saturday, so we decided to get the burning done.

New Year's Eve

Jason and I went out this year to celebrate a friend's birthday and New Year's Eve. It was a fun evening, but we were tired the next day!

Christmas 2009

Christmas 2009 came and went so quickly this year! We celebrated with both families again this year, Christmas Eve with the Schroeders and Christmas Day with the Winklers.

New York Trip #2

I think I've finally learned how to get pictures off the memory card! I've got some catching up to do. Here are a couple pics from our second trip to New York in August 2009.
