Things are a mess!

We have started the renovations of our new to us house. Right now is the demo phase, so it's very messy!  We have the framer, painters, and electrician lined up for the next several weeks. Here is the messy demo pictures. I'll post again when things are taking shape!

Tub Drawings

Sam can write his name! Tonight he was practicing in the tub.  He also drew a picture of his favorite animal...the bunny!

Scooting Along

Sam has been interested in riding his scooter again lately. He will take it on our walk through the neighborhood. He has learned how to steer and brake correctly. His balance is incredibly good for a four year old.
He cooperated with me to pose for this picture. He really is a cutie when he smiles.

Football Weekend

We had a fun weekend full of family and football. We went to College Station to the Aggie football game. Sam spent the day with Aunt Angela. As you can see, he had a great day. They walked down to the fire station by Angela's house. Sam had a ton of fun.
Jason and I got to sit in the new Legacy Club. It was so hot outside that we spent most of the game in the air conditioning. It was a fun day together.

A Moment From The Past

Here is a picture from the Santa Fe Train Museum in Temple last year. Sam loves trains and he LOVES his PP!

Apraxia Walk

This year we are a part of an event in Cedar Park to help raise awareness for Childhood Apraxia of Speech, Sam's speech diagnosis. We are excited to be a part of the event to raise awareness and meet others in our community with kids going through the same speech struggles.
There is a one mile walk and a small ceremony to give all the kids with apraxia a medal. We are going to provide lunch for those willing to be on Sam's team to help raise money and awareness. We are so happy that many of our family and friends are helping to support this great initiative. Sam's team name is...Team Sam: Support, Advocate, Motivate.

I think it's going to be an encouraging time for our family to see those who stand by us in support of Sam. He works SO hard to build his speech sounds and words. I am so impressed by him!  The walk will be another way we encourage him to keep up the fight.

Austin Aquarium

After church this morning we decided to go to the Austin Aquarium. I pass by it many times a week, so I thought it might be a fun thing to do today.
It's not a very big aquarium, but it's very interactive. You can feed stingrays, tons of fish, ducks, birds, and sharks. Since we went earlier in the morning it wasn't very busy. We had the pick of all the hungry fish!
Jason fed the stingrays. Sam wasn't too fond since they came up so close. He loves feeding the fish, though. Especially the blue fish.
We also went in to feed the birds. They were pretty pushy when I had food in my hand!
As you can see, Sam wasn't too impressed with the birds. I really liked them!
There were tons of koy in this tank. Sam enjoyed feeding them and watching the churn the water to get to the food. Overall, it was a fun little adventure.

This kid loves his magazine!

Sam loves to read his magazines in the car. He just got this one in the mail this week. He liked for me to read to him in the car when Jason drives. Unfortunately I don't do very well with reading and driving. I try my best, though. Who wants to disappoint this guy?!?
