Cute picture!
Here is a picture that Betty took yesterday while playing with Sam after school. I think it's such a great picture!
Snow Day
It was snow day on Thursday at Sam's school. They brought in a truckload of snow and let the kids have fun. Sam's class studied winter weather this week, so they were so excited to play in the snow. Although it was a warm day, each kid wore his cold weather gear. Sam was most excited to wear his gloves.
Jason was able to go and play with Sam's class for snow day. I think Sam was happy to have his dad come for the special event.
There was a treasure hunt for colored ice cubes.
Here is Sam with his teacher, Ms. Alyssa.

Week in Review
We survives the first full week of the semester. It was a pretty good week even though we had a little juggling to do with Jason out of town for a conference at the beginning of the week. Betty was awesome to take Sam to school on Tuesday and pick him up while I was at work. Sam loves playing after school with both sets of grandparents, so I think everything is good in his world.
My semester started off on the right foot. No big snags. All the students seemed pleasant, so I'm optimistic. The drive is a little longer after the move, but most is traffic free, so it's not bad. It gives me time to wind down before getting home.
Sam has now lost two bottom teeth. The second bottom tooth fell out last night while he was taking a bath. I think that's all the loose teeth for now. He's down to just one front tooth now. Hopefully the two bottom teeth will start to grow back soon.

Here comes the Tooth Fairy, again!
Sam was eating lunch this afternoon and said, "Momma, tooth." Sure enough, he lost one of his loose bottom teeth. Then he looked at me and said, "Tooth Fairy!" Now I have to scramble to get a tooth fairy present!
Here is a picture of Sam on the way to school this week. Cutie!

Sam's New Smile
Here's a picture of Sam's new smile. He's holding his favorite bunny "Baby" and his new bunny from the Tooth Fairy that he named "Rainbow." He's back to his normal happy self today!

Here comes the Tooth Fairy
Today was the day for Sam to get his accessed front tooth removed. After much consideration, we decided to change dentists and use oral sedation rather than IV sedation.
The procedure itself only took about 10 minutes; first to numb the area and let it sit, and then to remove the tooth. They gave him a sedation drink beforehand, so he was a little more relaxed.
Overall it went pretty well. The sedation has made him grumpy, but he just ate a little lunch, so hopefully that will help to left his spirits. The Tooth Fairy will be dropping buy tonight, so that should make him really happy. The dental assistant asked Sam what he wanted from the Tooth Fairy, and he told her he wanted a new bunny. So I called Jason to tell him to find a new bunny toy today!
Here's a picture of Sam before his trip tot the dentist. I'll take an after picture when he's feeling better.

Throwing Rocks
One of Sam's most favorite activities is throwing rocks into the water. There is a creek not too far from our house with lots of opportunity to throw rocks.
The weather was kind of cold this weekend, but we bundled up and walked to the creek. I see is making many more trips in the near future to throw rocks.
Gorgeous January Day
We are playing outside this afternoon because the weather is so good! The air is cool and the sun is warm. It's my kind of weather!
Sam has had a good first week back at school. He didn't act very excited to be going back, but he jumped out of the car and said goodbye Tuesday morning. They've had a little scheduling change, so he gets to go to music class each week now. Before he would miss music because of therapy. That makes me happy since he loves music very much.

Very quiet New Year's Eve
We have had a very quiet day. Sam shared his germs with me, so I haven't felt good for a couple of days. The good side of being sick is the chance to catch up on some work in bed.
Sam got a Giant Busy Box for Christmas, so we have been crafting this evening. It has at least a dozen different projects but no directions. My mind isn't working well enough to come up with original projects, so we are keeping it simple tonight.
